This would taste great over vanilla bean ice cream, French toast, chocolate cake and of course SHORTCAKES!

Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries cleaned and sliced (@raymontsberries)
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 to 2 tbsp Dark Balsamic Strawberry Whole Fruit Vinegar (available at dressed by an Olive)
- fresh lemon zest (optional)
- black pepper (optional)

Instructions
- Place your clean, sliced strawberries into a bowl.
- Sprinkle it with dark brown sugar. Note: Use 2 tbsp of sugar for every cup of strawberries. The amount of sugar depends no how ripe your fruit is and how sweet you want your fruit.
- Pour 1 to 2 tbsp of Dark Balsamic Strawberry Whole Fruit Vinegar over the strawberries.
- Optional: Add fresh lemon zest and black pepper to a little zip to your strawberries!
- Mix well, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and place in the fridge. Enjoy!
